Abstract:
This calculator is designed specifically to meet the needs of visually impaired individuals interested in using a relatively small, portable scientific calculator. This large display calculator allows low vision users to perform scientific, statistical, and trigonometric calculations. Field testing was done on the functionality and visibility of the display, keypad, and instruction manual. The manual features detailed instructions for all operations and the use of memory function with the second key for more complex operations. Capabilities include calculations with a constant, conversion between rectangular and polar coordinates, and statistical analysis on one variable data. (Author/JRS) |
